Dawn Abercromby has had an ongoing relationship with yoga for over 30 years. Her interest was intensified six years ago after attending Diane Lee’s Yoga classes which led to Dawn training as a teacher in the first cohort of the Academy for Yoga Training, Bath.
Dawn encourages her students to find space in postures, breath and mind to provide a balance to the demands of 21st Century living. She has a particular interest in Yin Yoga and enjoys bringing elements of this into all her classes.
Experienced at teaching complete beginners to those who want to complement their chosen sport, Dawn likes her classes to be accessible for all ages, abilities and levels of physical fitness and for students to achieve a sense of joy and well-being.
My love of Yoga began in 2012. After moving across the country, finding a new home and school for my boys and recovering from a serious illness I was exhausted, stressed, and I was down but not out. I needed to heal.
I found a class in the centre of Bath, just once a week to start with and I began to practice Yoga with Diane Lee. I rapidly started to feel the health benefits. Each class helped me to grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. So much so, it inspired me to train to become a teacher and I competed the Yoga Alliance certified ‘Academy For Yoga Training’ Hatha Yoga 200hr course in September 2018.

I am a creative soul, an artist and a yoga teacher. I love dance and meditative movement, not just for physical benefit but also mental and emotional.
I completed my 200hr Hatha yoga teacher training with Diane Lee at the Academy for Yoga Training in the interesting year that was 2020.
Yoga has been among the wonderful things that have helped me retain balance, focus, positivity and motivation and it is a pleasure and honour to be able to offer guidance to others, through teaching, as they journey their own yoga path.
I am an enthusiastic and outgoing person who has always enjoyed learning and improving my life and the life of those around me. Discovering the practice of yoga 8 years ago has changed my approach to life and situations completely.
Studying the depths of the practice in India has been the best experience of my whole life (after giving birth to my daughter Penelope of course 🙂 )
I have qualified in Ashtanga but I love mixing the practice up with other poses too to keep my classes fresh and innovative. I love what I do and I love passing it on to my students! There is so much to learn from each other in every class.
Natalie has been teaching yoga for over 12 years and has a wealth of experience in the fitness/health industry. This definitely comes across in her informative and creative style of teaching that enables the student to learn more about themselves so they begin to understand their yoga practice at a deeper level.
Natalie trained with highly regarded Ashtanga teachers David Swenson and John Scott, and her love of Vinyasa Flow, also led her to study with Meghan Currie and Jason Crandell.
Natalie aims to draw the most of out her students as she works to encourage a healthy balance between strength and flexibility to ensure that each practice is safe and well rounded so that everyone’s yoga practice lasts them a lifetime.
Robyn comes from a preforming arts and educational background, which shines though in her fun, welcoming and inclusive yoga classes.
Robyn’s style of teaching is dynamic and powerful, taking all the best bits form a variety of different traditional yoga lineages and sprinkling on a touch of modern flow. Robyn makes sure everyone gets all the benefits from yoga without taking themselves too seriously!
My yoga journey started as a teenager when at 14 I started going to weekly classes with my mum. Since then I have practiced Iyengar, Bikram, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Scaravelli and most recently Ashtanga.
As a teacher I see my role as being sharing my passion and love for yoga with my students and hopefully inspiring them to find their own path with yoga in a safe and welcoming environment.
I have trained with the British Wheel of Yoga and with the Yoga Alliance. I am also looking forward to undertaking Ashtanga teaching training with John Scott in 2017.
I fell in love with yoga a few years ago as I found it really helped my physical & mental health, it has brought me increased confidence, strength & courage and helped me gain back my health after a back injury
I trained with the lovely Bath Yoga Studio in 2020 in Hatha & Yin Yoga, what a transformational year 2020 has been, and have been teaching ever since, I love seeing that I can help other feel the same benefits I have and maybe more and building a little community at the same time
I am currently taking another 200 hour teacher training course to further develop my teaching so I can bring even more to your practice
Look forward to seeing you on the mat!
